AI assistant in development
From word of mouth to a wider audience
Heaven in Cardiff had grown through word of mouth. The ambition was to bring that personal, food-led business online and introduce its cakes and Persian savoury dishes to a wider audience.
For customers discovering Persian food for the first time, choosing from a menu can raise questions. What is the dish like? Which flavours might they enjoy? Where should they start?
The project centres on making those first choices more approachable, while retaining the character of the food and the business behind it.
The challenge
Personal recommendations had helped people discover Heaven. An online experience needed to offer new customers enough context to understand the food and take the next step with confidence.
The brief was to create an online home for the business, support ordering and help customers navigate an offer that could be unfamiliar to them.
My role
I’m handling the project end to end: shaping the customer experience, designing and building the website, developing its content, setting up online ordering and building the AI menu assistant.
Working across these areas lets me consider the whole journey, from discovering the business and understanding its food to choosing an item and placing an order.
The approach
The website and its content are being developed around a clear customer need: understanding what is available and feeling comfortable choosing it.
The wider scope includes cakes and Persian savoury dishes. The current website presents the cake range, with product pages, prices and options, alongside delivery and collection information.
An AI menu assistant is in development as part of the first phase. Its intended role is to help customers explore the menu and make a choice, bringing an element of conversational guidance into the online experience.
Where the project stands
The website is undergoing final testing before launch. The current experience centres on the cake range, while the wider project includes Persian savoury dishes. The AI menu assistant remains in development.
The aim is an experience that helps more people discover Heaven’s food and choose with confidence. Customer feedback and commercial results will be added as the project progresses and evidence becomes available.
